Welcome to the DuPage Pilots Association

The next event: The next DPA event will be the March 21 Assocation Board meeting to be held at the North Ramp Pilots Lounge at 10:30 am.
As always all are welcome to attend.

The next major event will be the Spring Safety Seminar to be held in the Mukenschnabl Hanger starting at 10:00 am, As always coffee will be available at 9:30 am with a free hotdog lunch following the seminar. As in the past the Dupage Tower and Airport Authority will participate. The main speaker will be Mark Ratzer from the National Weather Service will have an informative presentation on Thunderstorm, forecasting, development, and avoidance.

Good news: The Airport Authority has now increased the open times for the former Government Building on the North Ramp. The building which provides restrooms and the pilots lounge will now be open from 6:30am to 9:00pm every day.

There has been a change in leadership at the Dupage County Airport. The long time Airport Director David Bird has retired. Mr Mark Doles has been named his replacement; we wish Mark continued success in this new challenge.

If looking for a place to fly for lunch, here are two suggestions:

There is a newly found site http://www.fly2lunch.com/  where a search
for restaurants on or near airports can be found.

Stop by the pilots lounge any Saturday, where you can find someone willing to share a seat for the experience of a lunch flight, or if you would like to fill such a seat a willing participant should be available.

DPA Events:
The last DPA event, the first general meeting of the year, was held at the Dupage Airport Flight Center on Thursday February 20, 2020. The featured speaker was well known local A&P Randy Castor who gave an informative presentation into starting and aircraft ignition systems. Pizza and Soda was provided by the association prior to the meeting. FAAST Seminar Details
